A GOOD WRAP UP FOR CYCLE ASIA KUALA LUMPUR

Earlier during the month, Tan Sri Ahmad Phesal announced the confirmed route for Cycle Asia Kuala Lumpur 2015, Malaysia’s largest community cycling event on closed public roads with support from Tourism Malaysia, Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Cycling the scenic city of Kuala Lumpur together with Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Musa Yusof, Director of Domestic Marketing Division of Tourism Malaysia, Chris Robb, CEO of Spectrum Worldwide and event organizer and members of the public, Tan Sri Ahmad Phesal said that the city of Kuala Lumpur actively supports and encourage cycling, taking steps forward to improve efforts made in accordance with tourism.

Commenting further Tan Sri Ahmad Phesal said, “Cycling is fast gaining popularity for both young and old because it’s fun, healthy and communal activity. Plus, it’s eco-friendly and easy to learn. We at DBKL want to encourage more Malaysians to embrace this and commend the efforts of the organizers Spectrum Worldwide and support from Tourism Malaysia to showcase Kuala Lumpur as a tourist destination specifically for cyclists internationally.

Chris Robb who cycled side-by-side the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur said “We could not have made this event a success without the encouragement and the full support of the people, the Mayor and Tourism Malaysia. It is not easy to close roads in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, and it is only possible thanks to the support provided by the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur and the Royal Malaysian Police,”.
