EVENT: BIKE SKILL WORKSHOP BY LCSG & NPARKS

13 April 2014

Love Cycling SG organised a half day Bike Skill Workshop with support from NParks at Pasir Ris Park on Sunday, 13 April 2014.

The objective of the workshop was to

(1) Promote cycling as a sport or a leisure pastime,

(2) Promote road safety from the perspective of a cyclist,

(3) Give cyclist a chance to improve core skills and confidence.

The workshop started off with participants going through a designated cycling course specially set up to assess their own skill level. They were then given tips and practical lessons on how to clear each of the course feature and then given another chance to go another round. Most of the participants saw improvements after applying the tips and pointers imparted. During the workshop, participants were also given a refresher on basic safety tips and cycling etiquettes.

Guided by Mr George Lim and assisted by Love Cycling SG's Angel Team, the workshop was a fruitful and fun-filled day for many.

Interested? To join, you will need to own a bicycle and the necessary safety gears – that includes a helmet and protective paddings. For beginners who wants to start cycling as a hobby, Love Cycling SG is also a good place to gather information. ( Ed: Of course, new comers are also welcome to simply post their queries in Bikezilla's forum pages and let the experienced cyclist offer their advice and tips)
