Quite a lot goes into the designing and production of a good pair of grips. First, the fitting, and then the compound used. And then comes the real world product test.

Being one of the vital point of contact between the rider and his vehicle (bicycle, motocycle, ATV snow/water craft), a pair of grips would also largely affect how we feel about our vehicles. Loosely translated as Comfort.

 

 

Besides comfort and fitting, a pair of grips must also satisfy the user's expectations on durability and performance (tackiness, fatigue / shock dampening) amongst other finer aspects.

Over the years, ODI had diligently gathered feedback from their sponsored athletes and addressed nearly all these variables. They are the first to produce the Lock-On Grip System, which changed the way grips were installed and secured to handlebars. It had since become an expected feature with most athletes.

To ensure consistency in quality of their products, ODI had maintained the tradition of producing their grips in the USA instead of simply going for the cheapest manufacturing avenues.
