The demo-day for Marin Bikes by Rodalink Singapore last year gave their new series of trail and enduro bikes a good start. With good reviews from various reviews, the bikes are seeing good sales into its second year. It's no surprise to us that these new trail and enduro bikes are doing well with its improved geometry and linkages, with deadly looks to boot. For those who had wanted a Marin Bike and had been waiting for the new shipment to arrive, your wait is over!

 

New stocks for Attack Trail, Mount Vision and Rift Zone are in at Rodalink now. For the benefit of those who had been eyeing these off-road machines with deadly good looks, here's a quick recap on these bikes' figures.

 

 

ATTACK TRAIL

The Attack Trail is the bike of choice for Marin's Enduro World Series (EWS) team riders. Choose from lightweight carbon or aluminum-alloy frames designed for the demanding courses of enduro and all-mountain trails. With a 150mm travel full-suspension chassis and design features including slack geometry, 27.5” wheels and short chain stays, the Attack Trail is built for exhilarating and rough backcountry runs.

The Attack Trail XT7 features the same hydroformed Aluminum alloy frame with SHOT Tech and 150mm travel QUAD-Link 3.0 suspension platform as the higher-speced XT8, but added cost effective spec solutions. The highly evolved SR Suntour Auron fork with 160mm of travel covers the suspension duties at the front, good enough for some downhill fun while Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes gets the job done at corners and when you need to … stop.

MOUNT VISION

The Mount Vision line of mountain bikes are designed to be the ultimate trail companions. While emulating the lightweight efficiency of cross country models, these bikes pack 140mm of confidence inspiring travel into their full-suspension chassis. Models are available in carbon and Series 4 aluminum-alloy frames, each featuring Marin's IsoTrac suspension platform. 27.5” wheels comes as standard – currently believed as the best all-rounder wheel size for handling, climbing over trail obstacles and gliding through tight berms.

The XM7 frame is made with lightweight alloy front triangle with Shot Tech paired with a carbon rear triangle to give a lightweight, stiff and compliant ride feel. Other features include a Rock Shox Revelation RL fork with Monarch RL shock, wide range Shimano compact 2×10 drivetrain and new Deore hydraulic disc brakes. Mavic's new XM421 27.5 rims have a wide rim profile to improve the footprint and traction of the Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.25 tires, and the KS Dropper seatpost make transitions between up and down as easy as the push of a lever.

RIFT ZONE

The Rift Zone 29er is positioned as a 29er trail bike under this new lineup that is equally competent in cross country (XC) runs. Combining the ultra-light, agility of a trail bike with the inherent advantages of a 29" wheel, the Rift Zone 29er provides the best of both worlds. Available in both full carbon and alloy versions, the Rift Zone features compact 440mm chain-stays that give the bike a playful feel, while the 110mm travel IsoTrac suspension platform absorbs bumps and provides pedaling prowess. These models pair the stability of a 29er wheel with a platform that allows for fun and confident descents.

The Cream of the Crop model for Rift Zone series is the Rift Zone 9 Carbon.The bike is speced with ultra-light and stiff components all wrapped together with Marin's all new IsoTrac suspension platform designed with 29er Trail specific geometry. With Fox's 120mm TALAS 32 Performance fork, custom tuned Fox Float Performance CTD shock and Sram's X01 11-speed drivetrain with carbon crank, the Rift Zone 9 is built for speed.
