A MEMORABLE RIDE TRADITION

National Day Rides are not unique events and had been organised as long as the cycling sport existed. This one, in particular, deserves a special mention because the event title sounds so good – SG60BT Ride. An initiative by Raw Epics‘ Wilson Low, it was supported by like-minded riding buddies like Yak Ru‘s Sunil Sharma, avid mountain biking veteran Chris Stott and a handful of enthusiasts.

A RIDE WITH FRIENDS

What started off as a simple idea of getting a few riding friends to collective accumulate a total of rides that matches the age of Singapore’s annual increment year of indepedence gradually gained traction and became close friends riding event.

This year, we see a total of 62 riders joining in the effort and achieving a total of 110 laps around Bukit Timah MTB Trail. Topping up the ride were the lots happy faces, a systematic recording of the laps ridden and an informal pot-luck mini party! From an informal ride, this ride session became a family event where some riders brought their family and pets!
