SINGAPORE MOUNTAIN BIKE CARNIVAL 2014
SINGAPORE – The 8th edition of Singapore Mountain Bike Carnival will be presented at Lor Asrama Singapore featuring the newly mint Peugeot Enduro Challenge.
The event traditionally attracts the marathon cross country crowd, where the elite riders battle out for the SOLO 8hrs crown and weekend warriors form relay teams of up to 4 riders keeping the racing as a festivity.
In line with current trend in 'recreational racing', a lite weight version of Enduro Mountain Biking style timed descent category is retained, following a successful launch in the previous year. With strong support from Peugeot as the anchoring partner for the Enduro Challenge, the race should catapult this format further in the regional scene.
Apart from the racing, the event also host outdoor demos. Featuring heavily are the new Sony Action Cam, Coast Cycles' fat bikes, Pipedream Cycles new 650B rigs and a range of products from Spy Optics and Timbuk2. Participants and visitors may test out these new gear and products on the field and potentially win some of these gears in the event lucky dip.
“We hope to enhance the participant experience. Providing value has always been the main focus for this 8th edition and the team has been working hard with the partners on this. We are glad that we are getting close to this objective at this moment” commented HM Lim, Event Director for the event.
The event will be held in the northern Singapore race course at Lor Asrama on 17th Aug 2014 (Sunday).
