RIDERS: POLYGON UR TEAM SHARES THEIR EXPERIENCE AT

ENDURO WORLD SERIES SCOTLAND

The team was in Peebles, Scotland this past week for round 3 of the Enduro World Series. It has been a real Scottish week with the weather changing every 15 minutes – sunny spells, rain, strong winds and hail. Jamie Nicoll and Fabien Cousinié had 3 days of practice. This enduro was on a 2 day format racing 4 stages each day.

GAINING EXPERIENCE IN ENDURO RACING

Some of the stages were for the most part very flat and closer to cross-country than downhill. On Saturday, the team bade goodbye to Jamie and Fabien at 11 in the morning only to see them back around 5 pm. It was a long and hard day but thankfully the sun was out and the guys did not experience any mechanical problems during their runs. With his hand still recovering from Ireland, Fabien was able to finish the day but couldn't give the greatest performance. Jamie was pretty consistent though.

On day 2, the team received information that 2 of the 4 stages would be canceled because bad weather was expected in the valley. Only stage 5 and 8 would be held. The riders were actually quite relieved and happy that there are only 2 stages of race as they were still tired from Saturday. The race went well, Jamie finished the day with a 32nd place and Fabien was able to catch up a bit and finish 72nd.

Next stop for Polytgon UR Team – Fort William for the next Downhill World Cup! There will be a little break on the EWS circuit and Jamie will be preparing for the Transprovence.
