EVENT: ONE NORTH CYCLING CHALLENGE 2018

GET READY FOR ANOTHER WEEKEND OF ACTION AT OUR NEW PLAYGROUND – ONE-NORTH

 

 

Mark your calendars guys! The weekend of 15th and 16th September 2018 would be fun filled at One-North once again. This time round, it's 3 times the fun with an Urban XCE (Cross-Country Elimination), an Urban Obstacle Race and a Bike Trial Competition. We summarize the details here and show you where to register fot the races. 

 

 

WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

 

ONE NORTH CYCLING CHALLENGE 2018

DATE & TIME:  SATURDAY, 15th SEPTEMBER – 3 PM – 11 PM

                           SUNDAY, 16th SEPTEMBER – 8 AM – 12 PM

VENUE: ONE-NORTH PARK; BIOPOLIS STREET AND BIOPOLIS CENTRAL

 

 

One-North Cycling Challenge is a non-profit community event initiated by 1 OAK Event Services, supported by JTC Corporation and co-organized with Strider Singapore and BikeTrial International Union (Singapore). Initially, the main objective for this Cycling Challenge was to create community bonding among the One-North community through cycling​. But why keep the fun within the One-North crowd when the rest of Singapore's cycling and sporting community could join in too? The Challenges are designed for cyclist if all skill level and age (different categories) Let's ride!

 

THE CHALLENGES

URBAN XCE

15th SEPTEMBER, 3 PM – 7 PM AT ONE-NORTH PARK

RACE FEE: SGD40

 

 

CHALLENGE FORMAT IN BRIEF:

  • Best timing from Seeding Run 01 and 02
  • Fastest 64 or 32 riders qualifies for XCE
  • Each stage consist of group of 4s
  • Fastest 2 of each group moves to next stage
  • Elimination (Knock-out) continues to last group of 4s
  • Fnal 3 riders are podium winners
  • 3 Categories : Rookie, Open and  Sports​

URBAN OBSTACLE

15th SEPTEMBER, 7 PM – 11 PM AT BIOPOLIS STREET

RACE FEE: SGD40

 

                                                         

                                                                                                              

 

 

CHALLENGE FORMAT IN BRIEF:

  • Individual time trial clearing man-made obstacle course
  • 3 attempts for individual best timing
  • Best time wins
  • 3 Categories : Rookie, Open and  Sports​

URBAN TRIALS

16th SEPTEMBER, 8 AM – 12 PM AT BIOPOLIS CENTRAL

RACE FEE: SGD40

CHALLENGE FORMAT IN BRIEF:

  • gauge by point system
  • participant to complete 4 stations at the shortest time and
  • least penalty point collected
  • penalty point determined by :
    • i) Each time a foot lands on the floor
    • iii) Course tape broken by contestant
    • iii) * Maximium collect of 5 points from each station (* Rookie Category excused from this)
  • Sport Category required to complete an extra station which is the water featutre
  • 4 Categories: Rookie JR, Rookie, Open and Sport​

STRIDER RACE

16th SEPTEMBER, 8 AM – 12 PM AT BIOPOLIS STREET

RACE FEE: SGD30

 

 

The young ones are not forgotten here. Parents who wish to soak in the weekend of fun should register their little shredders for this mini race.

 

 

JOIN IN THE FUN!
