EVENT: TRANS-PROVENCE 2016

OPENS UP 60 PUBLIC SPOTS

The Trans-Provence is a 7-day singletrack-biased mountain bike adventure across the sunny Mediterranean pre-Alps of South-Eastern France. Interested? Read on to know how you can join as a private racer.

GETTING READY FOR 2016

The organizers of Trans-Provence hopes to create an event that is a manifestation of what mountain biking is all about; a melting pot of the sport's finest ingredient elements. In physical terms this means a week-long itinerary of true mountain wilderness, a huge and varied catalogue of awesome gravity-fuelled singletrack from the High Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. It exists since 2009 as a rally-style race which many past participants will say is more about the adventure than the time on the clock.

Mavic® Trans-Provence 2016 is set to be another wild week of adrenaline-filled adventure racing. From 18th to 25th June next year, 80 riders will once again rally their bikes down the epic trails of the Southern French Alps from Embrun to Menton. The itinerary's start and end points will remain unchanged, but there'll be plenty of awesome new stuff along the way. As usual, we have a strong pro rider roster confirmed, but there will be 60 public spots opening up on 1 NOVEMBER 2015 to experienced amateur riders from anywhere. Fancy the challenge and the thrill?

RECAP OF THE TRANS-PROVENCE ADVENTURE

A 5-minute encapsulation of Trans-Provence reckoned mountain biking should be all about: racing excitement, adventurous trepidation, insane amounts of singletrack, huge terrain variety, mind-bending elevation changes and benevolent camaraderie.
