AT TRANS-PROVENCE 2015 WITH JAMIE NICOLL
Trans-Provence is a manifestation of what mountain biking is all about; a melting pot of sport's finest ingredient elements. In physical terms this means a week-long itinerary of true mountain wilderness, a huge and varied catalogue of awesome gravity-fuelled singletrack from the High Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. It exists since 2009 as a rally-style race which many past participants will tell you is more about the adventure than the time on the clock. Jamie Nicoll shares his experience at the race.
This past week was the 7th edition of the Trans-Provence and it’s been a good one! After a tough fight the first days for the top place with Nico Lau and a mechanical fault that threaten any podium position, Jamie ended up with a well deserved 3rd position finish!
6 days, 270km from Embrun to Menton, 8946m ascent and 17407m descent through 24 stages and liaisons, that’s how tough this race is! No room for mechanical errors or crashes or riders will lose precious time and positions. It’s a real challenge for some to even finish and it’s an accomplishment to end up on the podium.
"This has been another massive week of sheer concentration stage after stage and day after day, it just doesn’t let up until you hit that beach and dive into the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
This race was one race that meant a lot to me this season and the rollercoaster of losing second and nearly losing the chance for any podium just added to the week and level of effort to hold on, these feelings are all part of a big week taking chances on the best trails.
I will never forget this event and the amazing times I’ve shared with all these great people and riders from every corner of the globe!" said Jamie Nicoll

AT NATURAL GAMES 2015 WITH LOIC ESTEVE
The Natural Games was also held during the same weekend. This is a big multi extreme sports event and music festival that happened from 25 – 28 June 2015 at Millau, France. Loic Esteve took part in the MTB Dirt contest. This contest is one of the main event during the Natural Games and is held at night in front of a huge crowd of 25,000 people at the festival! Loic had a really good runs and finish 2nd.
